Is there a correct way to jog in place?
Way back when headbands, leotards, slouch socks and even Marty McFly silver shoes were in fashion, there was high-impact aerobics and few other indoor cardio options. And so we jogged in place. Same with runners getting revved up for the big outdoors. Took a while (and some ice, shin splints, ace bandages and research) before we realized there was a wrong and right way to get our cardio legs running! Well, here it is, well into a new century, and often we still see the style that will cause leg pain and injury! Yes, we see you kicking back (literally).
So for you, dear exercisers, we have a short little video that will delight, entrance, enlighten and frighten you as you discover how to get your jog on safely!
So, are you ready to go out and buy some ultra-trendy silver shoes?
For all you Marty McFly “Back to the Future” shoes fans, this one’s for you:

IMHO, the worst possible way to run in place is to….run in place!
Sincerely,
John “Chariots of Fire” Poole
Well, John Poole, you can swing low, sweet chariot with your running snobbery, but we group fitness people love to run in place. Okay, we actually hate running in all its forms. But we LOVE exercise!
Did you really run in place on an airplane? Is that ok to do? Love the outfit Alexandra!
Hey Betsy. Yes, Kymberly really did run in place on the airplane. We’ve discovered it only takes one person to get a trend started! And I believe some flight attendants are cool with it; others give you “the look.” As to the outfit, scary to think it came from my actual collection, eh? I should have done the vertical ponytail!
True story about jogging in place at the back of a recent flight from Philly to San Francisco with United. We had a weather delay that left us sitting on the tarmac for almost two hours, followed by a 6 hour flight. Sitting that long (in a middle seat, mind you) was HAAARD! So the nice flight attendants let me come to their back area and jog, march, hamstring stretch it up. I met a lot of nice people on their way to the lavatory. Jog jog jog jiggity jog

I learned something again!!
I just love you guys you’re so much fun!
Great tip for airplane jogging—never thought to even try it. Any flight beyond 3 hours of sitting makes me stir crazy!

Do they honestly let you jog on a plane? I thought that it was the sole job of the flight hostesses to keep you in your seat as much as possible…then again the last flight I went on was a lads holiday so I am surprised the hostesses didn’t weld us to our seats!
