For you, Nora and all our interested readers, we offer another exercise in our series of effective ab workouts. This one shows the wrong and right way to perform a rotating core move.
After you try this (and watching the video while muttering, “unh hunh, I can do that exercise correctly” doesn’t count as trying), you might still have enough energy to work your way through our series of ab exercises. These ab workouts will definitely have you rotating, flexing and possibly whimpering! Dare we slam down a pun and suggest that this move will prevent you becoming an alba–core!).

Dear Ms. Fit and Fantastic. I think you are too hard on yourself as your abs seem quite hard in your pics! I do my core work mostly out of fear that gravity will win.

Ah haaa We want to add this to our list of “favorite excuses.” Not that we accept that excuse, but we do like it! Close your eyes and imagine a great view. With a cat and dog climbing on you before and after taping. And power tools running in the background that need careful timing to work around. Huh? huh?

Tamara, yesterday I gave this exercise to my UCSB students and they did NOT like it. They were actually making groaning sounds. And I suspect a number of them were holding their breath, as a collective sigh went out at the end.

I do too many crunching ab moves on the floor which are really bad for your back. There are other ways to do ab exercises without doing unnatural movements.
