Alexandra is away presenting at BlogHer Food in Austin, Texas.  That tells me to whip out some photos I took, add some interesting scoop from our vast files of saved fitness tidbits, and make posting life easy on myself. Then I will go for a walk!

    After just getting a restoring 9 hours of sleep last night, I am all about that aspect of health! And I walk on a treadmill desk daily, so I’m on board there, too. Love the pics!

    Love the motivation! Though whoever came up with the study for the first one obviously does not live in the desert! I think I’ll go take a nap now (since taking enough steps is not an issue).

      ha ha ah Tara: Maybe not good for long term health and fitness purposes. But since we don’t know what all your FINE self was up to all night, who are we to say whether those were well spent minutes. Inquiring minds do wonder.

    Great pictures! Another tip for the summer – start doing some laps when you go to the pool. It’s a great way to exercise especially for boomers.

    I like that you use the words Active and activity. We need to be active to keep the machine that is our body “in tune”. Activity needs to be a habit because then our mind is in tune with our physical well being.

    As people age, if they are not active they age more rapidly, simply because the engine is not being used. The sad part is that at some stage they will have gone past the point where to try and get fit becomes a huge task because the engine is in such poor repair it cannot help itself any more.

    That’s all a bit depressing SO KEEP ACTIVE :-)
